Sustainathon
With the theme of “Be a champion of change for our sustainable future,” the Sustainathon event brings educators, students, scientists, professionals, and citizens to explore and learn about sustainable solutions for the future. The event involves presentations, poster competitions, and interactive workshops involving students and faculty from high schools, community college, and universities.
Renewable Energy Symposium
A Symposium on Renewable Energy brought together energy and environmental experts in to discussing emerging topics on energy transition, wildlife interactions, urban energy ecosystem, and opportunities in energy industry.
Student Research Presentations
Springfield Technical Community College students conducted research and developed research posters for presentation at the event. Topics ranged from environmental, health, and energy issues. More than 50 posters were presented and the best research was recognized.
Massachusetts Envirothon
Engaging high school teams on environment and energy topics as they visit UMass and project team participates in judging student presentations of key topics of importance to sustainability.
